Rambo First Blood

Rambo First Blood is a great movie with lots of action. The action is great in this movie. One thing that I do not like about is that it is not very realistic that one man can beat so many people. This movie is still a thriller. The graphics are great and it is amazing to see all the tricks that Rambo can do. This movie is highly recommended to anyone that loves a great war or action movie.

Third Quarter

Last year, in eighth grade, third quarter did not go well for me.  My grades slipped very badly and my parents got mad, causing me to get mad.  In fourth quarter, I was tested and I now have medication to motivate me.  This has made a huge difference in my grades.  I refuse to have a third quarter like last year.  So far this quarter, I've done well except for english class.  I made a 95% on my last World Cultures test, I've done fairly well in Biology and Spanish, and I'm doing great in Geometry.  My weakness in English is poetry.  It does't make sense to me and I don't understand why we even do it. I really want to improve my English grade this quarter.  My goal is to earn all A's and B's this quarter. I would have reached that goal last semester but I got an 84% in English.  I am going to try my best this quarter so I can reach this goal.

Benelli M2

January 16, 2012 was a very great day because I got a new shotgun.  It is a Benelli M2. This is a very nice shotgun that will last me many years.  I had a Remington 11-87 for about four years and I shot it many times. It began to wear out and was doing weird things. My parents and I decided to trade my Remington for a nicer Benelli that would last me a very long time.  This is very exciting because I can shoot in sporting clays tournaments and not worry about my gun messing up. Also, this gun does not have to be cleaned nearly as often. I can't wait to shoot ducks with my new Benelli this weekend.

I Hate Exams.

I do not like exams at all.  They require so much of my time that I could be using to do something I really enjoy doing.  I was really looking forward to going hunting on Saturday but my mom said that I have to stay home and study.  This makes me really mad because I hate being stuck inside doing this.  I would much rather be hunting.  The worst part of exams this year is that I have my World Cultures and Biology exams on Teusday.  I have a decent grade in World Cultures but there is a lot of information that we must know in order to pass.  In Biology, there is also a lot of material.  The only thing good about having the two worst exams first is that I get them done.  On Wednesday, I have Geometry.  This shouldn't be too bad because I have an A in the class and I understand everything.  On Thursday, I have my Spanish exam.  This is not going to be fun.  I have a tutor that is helping me a lot but I am still not a good Spanish student.  Lastly, on Friday, I have my English exam.  I am begining to study for that but I am worried about how I will do.  On Friday, December 16th, 2011, at 10:00 a.m, I will finally be able to go home.  I will not have to study untill school starts back.  I can not wait to go hunting and not hear my mom even talk about studying.

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving break starts after school on Teusday, November 22.  I am planning on having a great break.  Starting on Wednesday morning, I will go deer hunting at my farm.  Then, I will come back to Columbia on that afternoon.  Wednesday night, I will hang out with my friends.  Next, I will eat Thanksgiving lunch on Thursday and then go back to my farm that afternoon.  When i get there, I will go deer hunting.  The next morning is Friday.  I will get up very early to do duck hunting.  After duck hunting, I will go deer hunting.  The same afternoon, I will go dove hunting.  After dove hunting, I will go deer hunting again.  Then, on Saturday, I will deer hunt in the morning. In the afternoon, my family and friends will cook a hog while watching the South Carolina vs. Clemson game.  I hope to have a very fun break.

Fall Fest

On Tuesday, November first, some students from Hammond school watched a movie after school for extra credit.  I suprisingly enjoied this movie.  I wasn't expecting to enjoy it because it was a foreign movie so we had to read what the characters said.  I normally do not like reading but as the movie went on, I basically forgot that I was reading.  In the movie, a mom, dad, and son are all captured and sent to concentration camps.  The mom was split from the dad and son.  The dad was making his son think that the concentration camps were a game so that his son wouldn't get scared.  This was one of my favorite things of the movie. It made me so thankful to not even be alive during that time period.  I was amazed at how the dad managed to stay so calm and posative with his son.  At the end of the movie, Americans came and they rescued the boy.  They later returned him to his family.  I really enjoied this movie.

My two favorite places

I am a very active person who does not sit still long.  I have two favorite places to be and they are my lake house and my farm.  About 50 years ago, my grandmother (my dad's mom) bought a piece of property at Lake Wateree.  They later built a house on it and it has been there ever since.  This is my favorite place to be in the summer time.  The Sheorn family also has a house at Lake Wateree two doors down from us.  Marshall Sheorn and I have a great time together every summer.  We love to fish, bowfish, and do all the water sports.  We also think of other ways to have fun like jumping off of boat houses into the water, racing lawn mowers, making  massive swings, and making huge slip'n slides.  I enjoy all of these activities equally so I don't have a favorite.  The second place I love to be is at my farm in Reevesville, South Carolina.  Here, I have a friend, Tyler Walters, that enjoys doing many of the same activities as me.  We love hunting doves, ducks, deer, and turkey the most.  We also enjoy riding four wheelers and muddin'.  There are many more fun things we do but they are not appropriate to mention here.  My dad and I plant our dove field, duck pond, and many food plots for wildlife.  This part is hard work that I do not always enjoy very much.  I am very lucky to have these two places and I hope to always have them.
